Hi, my name is Jafarudin Ardian Maulana. I’m 23 years old and currently a student at Universitas Terbuka, majoring in English Literature. I am passionate about improving my English skills because I believe that speaking, writing, and listening are essential in today's global world. I once had a challenging experience while traveling abroad, which motivated me to enhance my language abilities. I have a strong passion for building things related to technology, and now I focus on website and mobile development. Since my time in vocational high school, I have never stopped learning new things—this constant learning has boosted my confidence to showcase my work, including on LinkedIn. Traveling is one of my hobbies. I have visited eight countries so far and plan to explore even more in the future. I built this website as part of my personal portfolio, where I also plan to write more blogs about English literature, technology, and my travel experiences around the world. In today’s global era, English proficiency plays a vital role in effective communication. I was honored to receive an invitation from the Director of Good Foundation Forming, based in Mongolia, along with collaborative partners from the Philippines, to participate in an intensive English language program. This opportunity allowed me to deepen my knowledge and enhance my English skills by focusing on grammar, pronunciation, IELTS preparation, and public speaking.
我現在正在學中文，我覺得中文很複雜，我有耐心去學。 中文訓練我在學習新事物時始終如一、徹底。 我在許多國家找到了新朋友，這讓我講述我的國家的故事或分享新的經驗。I'm currently learning Chinese, I think Chinese is very complicated and I'm patient to learn it. Chinese trains me to be consistent and thorough in learning new things. I found new friends in many countries and this made me tell stories about my country or share new experiences.
During my vocational school studies, I gained valuable knowledge not only in basic programming but also by participating in an additional extracurricular class called “SMK Coding,” organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (KemKominfo). The program focused on website development as well as the fundamentals of Android mobile application development. As an outcome of this learning experience, I successfully developed an Android application for COVID-19 monitoring, which displays real-time data on positive COVID-19 cases both globally and within Indonesia.
